Shurshdni are METRO’s signature discount days — eccentric, emotional, and full of plastic bag rustle. For the spring edition, the brand invited Ukrainian indie-pop band Latexfauna to co-create a romantic music-driven campaign. Set in a METRO store, the spot begins with two hands meeting on a shopping cart handle — a brief touch between the band’s frontman and a girl. As the song starts, the vibe shifts from gray winter to pastel spring. Band members fill the cart with goods while lyrics sing of rebirth, warmth, and — of course — up to 50% off on over 1,000 products. The campaign steered clear of Valentine clichés, focusing instead on emotional lightness and renewal. With custom lyrics over a beloved Latexfauna melody (“Lucerna”), the campaign brought joy, relatability, and a cultural twist to METRO’s seasonal retail push.
