“Site About Site” is an interactive promo project designed to educate clients on the pitfalls of working with digital agencies. Created for UAC’s digital committee, the site gamifies the web development process by letting users step into the shoes of a typical client. Through branching choices, they make strategic (and not-so-strategic) decisions — with each misstep leading to inflated budgets, missed deadlines, or total project collapse. The project was launched to introduce industry regulations in a non-boring way, replacing dry documentation with satire, humor, and lived experience. Designed as a playful yet painfully realistic simulator, “Site About Site” helped both sides — clients and agencies — reflect on collaboration, communication, and common failures in digital production.
