The CAGE
NEW YEAR NEW PASSION
Promo Poster Visual Communication Holiday Campaign
2019
To promote The Cage — a BDSM bar — during the winter holidays, we created a poster series that reimagines traditional Christmas symbols through the lens of Japanese bondage art, shibari. The idea was to attract both the curious and the bold by giving seasonal clichés a sensual twist. Christmas trees, ornaments, gifts, and festive sausages were wrapped not just in ribbons, but in ropes — suggesting both restraint and indulgence. The contrast between cozy tradition and provocative aesthetics brought out the bar's identity in a witty, visually striking way. With minimal messaging and maximum visual impact, the campaign invited people to explore new passions right on New Year’s Eve.
